Dad's Birthday
On G's birthday we had cake, then presents. He wanted a new suit.
But he is very choosy about his clothes, so I gave him this little photo of a suit. He also got some new ties, yep, that's 3 skinny black ties and one tan tie.
Here he is in the new suit he chose for himself, looking handsome and happy!

Audie's Orange
We have this dwarf orange tree in our backyard. It is pretty and smells great in the spring when the orange blossoms come out, but it has only produced 1 orange in 8 years. This winter, G stopped timming the branches and let it kind of grow wild for a few months, and what do you know...oranges! Audra picked this big, bright one today.
Audra took this photo herself.
Touchdown!
Jared has been playing Flag Football for a couple seasons now. He loves playing and has learned alot. He usually plays center on offense and blocks on defense. Last Saturday he was on defense and the other team was going for goal, Jared intercepted the pass and ran all the way downfield for a touchdown. His coach was so happy and we were so proud of him. In our excitement, we missed the shot, but took a photo right after the game. Go Jared!

Lemon Bars for dessert - Yum!
Audra treated us to homemade Lemon Bars last night. She followed mom's recipe and made them all on her own.
LEMON BARS
Preheat oven at 350*
*crust* Grease 13x9 pan. Mix together 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of butter (softened) and 1/2 a cup of powdered sugar. Press into bottom of the pan and bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
*Filling* 4 eggs, 2 cups of sugar, 4 tablespoons of flour, ¼ teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 6 tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix all together until well blended, and then pour over hot crust. Bake for 28-33 minutes.
Cut while still warm. Cool then dust tops with powdered sugar.
